Target Information

AASS는 포유류의 라이신 분해 경로에서 처음 두 단계를 촉매하는 이기능성 효소입니다. N-말단은 lysine-ketoglutarate reductase 활성을, C-말단은 saccharopine dehydrogenase 활성을 가지며, 라이신을 α-aminoadipic semialdehyde로 변환합니다. 이 단백질을 암호화하는 유전자의 돌연변이는 가족성 고라이신혈증과 관련이 있습니다.
