Target Information
CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein containing two immunoglobulin domains and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is broadly distributed on cell surfaces and interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells to locally prevent macrophage activation. Homologues of CD200 exist in various herpesviruses and poxviruses. Research indicates CD200 may regulate myeloid cell activity and deliver inhibitory signals to macrophage lineages in diverse tissues. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
Diseases associated with CD200 dysfunction include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
