Target Information
FGFR2는 수용체 티로신 키나아제(FGFR) 계열에 속하며, 혈관형성, 세포분열, 골형성, 근형성, 암 발생, 세포 분화, 손상 후 조직 복구 등 다양한 세포 기능을 조절한다. FGFR 계열은 암, 류머티즘성 관절염, 당뇨병성 망막병증 등 여러 질환과 관련이 있으며, 리간드 친화성과 조직 분포에서 차이를 보인다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이는 Crouzon 증후군, Pfeiffer 증후군, Apert 증후군, Jackson-Weiss 증후군, Beare-Stevenson cutis gyrata 증후군, Saethre-Chotzen 증후군 등 다양한 두개골 조기유합 증후군과 연관되어 있다.
여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 보고되어 있으며, 서로 다른 이소폼을 암호화한다.
