Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of IRF4 only when phosphorylated at Y122/125.
Target Information
The IRF (interferon regulatory factor) family of transcription factors are characterized by a unique tryptophan pentad repeat DNA-binding domain. IRFs regulate interferon expression in response to viral infection and modulate interferon-inducible genes. IRF4 is lymphocyte-specific and negatively regulates toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling, which is central to innate and adaptive immune system activation. A chromosomal translocation involving this gene and the IgH locus, t(6;14)(p25;q32), may be associated with multiple myeloma. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified.
