Target Information
CD25 (IL2 receptor alpha chain, IL2RA) is a cytokine receptor component involved in T and B lymphocyte proliferation. The IL2 receptor is a heterotrimeric complex composed of IL2RA, IL2RB, and IL2RG chains, forming a high-affinity receptor. Homodimeric IL2RA or IL2RB chains yield low- or medium-affinity receptors, respectively. IL2 is mainly produced by mature T cells and functions as a growth and differentiation factor, regulating immune responses, NK cell activity, and cell death. Mutations in IL2RA are associated with interleukin-2 receptor alpha deficiency and immune dysregulation.
