Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
SOX9 plays a key role in sex determination and Sertoli cell differentiation. It is involved in chondrogenesis and regulates expression of genes related to cartilage formation as a transcription factor.
Translocation of the SOX9 gene can cause campomelic dysplasia. It is essential for testis formation from fetal gonads and functions as a molecular component in neuron-glia development.
During prostate development, SOX9 supports epithelial outgrowth and basal cell maintenance, while in prostate cancer, it promotes tumor growth and invasion.
SOX9 also contributes to neural crest formation, melanin production regulation, and is expressed in adult testis, heart, and fetal brain.
