Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The SHPK gene encodes a protein with weak homology to several carbohydrate kinases, which are involved in phosphorylation of sugars upon cellular entry. Variations in sequence suggest possible differences in substrate specificity, cofactors, or kinetics compared to known carbohydrate kinases.
This gene is located in a region frequently deleted in cystinosis patients, indicating a potential modifier role in the cystinosis phenotype. The genomic region is rich in Alu repetitive sequences, often associated with chromosomal rearrangements.
