FXYD3 is a member of the FXYD-domain containing regulators of Na⁺/K⁺ ATPases, characterized by a 35-amino acid signature sequence beginning with PFXYD and including conserved residues.
This gene encodes a cell membrane protein that may regulate ion-pump and ion-channel functions and could play a role in tumor progression.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
