Target Information

p130Cas (Cas for Crk-associated substrate) is a common cellular target of phosphorylation signals mediated by v-Crk and v-Src oncoproteins.
It has a unique structure containing a Src homology (SH)-3 domain, multiple YXXP motifs, and a proline-rich region.
p130Cas is involved in biological processes such as:

• Cell adhesion and migration
• Growth factor stimulation
• Cytokine receptor engagement
• Bacterial infection

Physiological roles include cardiovascular development, actin filament assembly, and Src-induced cell transformation.
