Target Information
CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase and a CD45 glycoprotein isoform. CD45 plays a critical role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases and promoting cell survival through integrin-mediated signaling pathways. It is also involved in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45 isoforms differ in extracellular domains but share identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. Their expression varies by cell type and physiological state. CD45RB is expressed in microglia and inflammatory cells and is essential for immunoreceptor signaling and hematopoietic lineage cell function, excluding mature red cells.
