Target Information
CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase, part of the CD45 glycoprotein family. CD45 is essential for lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, acting as a regulator of Src-family kinases. It promotes cell survival via integrin-mediated signal transduction and is involved in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45 isoforms differ in extracellular domains but share identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions. Their expression varies by cell type and physiological state. CD45RB is expressed in microglia and inflammatory cells and plays a role in immunoreceptor signaling and apoptosis regulation.
CD45 is expressed on human hematopoietic cells except mature red cells.
