Angiopoietin-1 (Ang-1)은 Tie-2 수용체의 리간드로, 혈관 성숙 및 내피세포 발달에 관여하는 혈관형성 인자입니다.
Angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2)는 Ang-1의 활성화를 억제하는 자연적 길항제이며, 성체 조직에서는 혈관 재형성 부위에서 발현됩니다.
Ang-3와 Ang-4는 각각 생쥐와 인간에서 동일 유전자 자리의 대응 단백질로, 구조적 차이로 인해 기능이 다릅니다.
Ang-3는 길항제로, Ang-4는 작용제로 기능하며, 두 단백질 모두 Ang-1 및 Ang-2와 유사한 구조적 특징을 공유합니다.
