This peptide corresponds to 20 amino acids near the carboxy terminus of human ZBRK1.
PEP-0734 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20614.
Target Information
ZBRK1 is a member of the Kruppel-associated box-zinc finger protein (KRAB-ZFP) family of transcriptional repressors. It is up-regulated in senescent fibroblasts and interacts with BRCA1, a transcriptional regulator with tumor suppressor activity.
ZBRK1 binds to a specific sequence within the GADD45 gene, forming a nuclear complex with BRCA1 to repress transcription.
It can homo-oligomerize through a C-terminal transcriptional repression domain (CTRD), facilitating transcriptional repression via ZBRK1 response elements.
These findings suggest that higher-order ZBRK1 oligomers assemble through both protein-DNA and CTRD-dependent protein-protein interactions.
