Target Information
HKDC1 (Hexokinase Domain Containing 1) is a cell-surface receptor belonging to the ErbB family of receptor tyrosine kinases. It binds ligands such as epidermal growth factor (EGF) and transforming growth factor alpha (TGFα), playing key roles in cellular proliferation, differentiation, motility, and survival.
Overexpression or mutation of HKDC1 has been associated with various cancers, including lung cancer and glioblastoma multiforme. The HKDC1vIII variant is frequently observed in glioblastoma.
