Target Information
RNP2 is a type I integral membrane protein localized exclusively in the rough endoplasmic reticulum. It is a component of the N-oligosaccharyl transferase complex, which attaches high mannose oligosaccharides to asparagine residues within the Asn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif of nascent polypeptide chains. This protein shows sequence similarity to the yeast oligosaccharyl transferase subunit SWP1.
