Target Information
Ubiquitin hydrolase that removes conjugated ubiquitin from AXIN1 and AXIN2, acting as a regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway. It activates the Wnt pathway downstream of the beta-catenin destruction complex by deubiquitinating and stabilizing AXIN1 and AXIN2, promoting their nuclear accumulation and positively regulating beta-catenin (CTNBB1)-mediated transcription. Recognizes and hydrolyzes the peptide bond at the C-terminal Gly of ubiquitin and is involved in processing poly-ubiquitin precursors and ubiquitinated proteins.
