Target Information
PGP9.5 (Protein gene product 9.5, UCH-L1, PARK5)는 신경세포 특이 단백질로, neuron specific enolase와 구조적·면역학적으로 구별됩니다. 분자량은 약 27 kDa이며, ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase family 1 (peptidase family C12)에 속합니다.
이 단백질은 ubiquitin hydrolase 및 ligase 활성을 가지며, ubiquitin 단량체 생성을 위한 C-말단 가수분해를 촉진합니다.
PGP9.5는 중추 및 말초 신경계 전반의 신경세포와 신경섬유, 신경내분비세포, 신장 세뇨관 일부, 정소의 정세포 및 Leydig 세포, 난자 및 황체 세포에서 발현됩니다.
과발현 시 비소세포 폐암과 관련이 있으며, 발현 감소는 헌팅턴병 및 알츠하이머병과 연관됩니다.
PGP9.5는 신경 표지자로서, 파킨슨병 등 신경퇴행성 질환 연구에 유용하게 사용됩니다.
