Target Information
BATF2 (basic leucine zipper transcription factor, ATF-like 2)는 274개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질로 핵에 위치하며 bZIP 도메인을 포함하고 있어 전사 조절에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.
BATF2 유전자는 인간 염색체 11에 위치하며, 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 형태로 발현됩니다. 염색체 11은 약 135백만 염기쌍과 약 1,400개의 유전자를 포함하며, 다양한 질병 관련 유전자가 밀집된 영역입니다.
이 염색체에는 세포 주기 조절 및 DNA 손상 반응에 중요한 Atm 유전자가 있으며, 변이 시 ataxia-telangiectasia를 유발합니다. 또한 HBB 유전자 변이는 겸상적혈구빈혈 및 지중해빈혈을, WT1 유전자 변이는 Wilms 종양, WAGR 증후군 및 Denys-Drash 증후군을 유발합니다.
그 외에도 Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome, Jacobsen syndrome, Niemann-Pick disease, hereditary angioedema, Smith-Lemli-Opitz syndrome 등이 염색체 11 관련 유전자 결함과 연관되어 있습니다.
