Target Information
The hnRNP A2B1 gene belongs to the A/B subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). These RNA-binding proteins form complexes with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA) and are involved in pre-mRNA processing, mRNA metabolism, and transport.
The encoded protein includes two quasi-RRM domains that bind RNA and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms.
