Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if solution is not clear after standing at room temperature. Product remains stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only immediately before use.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Peroxidase (Horseradish). Cross-reactivity with peroxidase from other tissues or species may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is an enzyme widely used in biochemistry and molecular biology research. Derived from the root of the horseradish plant, HRP catalyzes oxidation reactions in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. It serves as a detection enzyme in immunoassays such as ELISA and Western blot due to its high sensitivity and stability.
