The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, with purity >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
This gene encodes a lysosomal protein that hydrolyzes galactose ester bonds of galactosylceramide, galactosylsphingosine, lactosylceramide, and monogalactosyldiglyceride. Mutations in this gene are associated with Krabbe disease (globoid cell leukodystrophy). Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized.
