Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TRPM4 is a calcium-activated non-selective cation channel that mediates membrane depolarization.
Although activated by increased intracellular Ca²⁺, it is impermeable to calcium ions. It transports monovalent cations (Na⁺, K⁺, Cs⁺, Li⁺), leading to membrane depolarization.
TRPM4 plays critical roles in cardiomyocytes, neurons (entorhinal cortex, dorsal root, vomeronasal), endocrine pancreas cells, kidney epithelial cells, and cochlear hair cells.
It participates in T-cell activation by modulating Ca²⁺ oscillations required for NFAT-dependent IL2 production, contributes to cerebral artery constriction, and regulates insulin secretion in pancreatic β-cells.
Additionally, it influences Th1/Th2 cell motility and cytokine production via calcium signaling and NFATC1 localization, and enhances cell proliferation through β-catenin pathway upregulation.
