Target Information
C/EBP delta belongs to the CCAAT enhancer binding protein (CEBP) family of transcription factors, all containing a conserved basic-leucine zipper domain at the C-terminus responsible for dimerization and DNA binding.
Six members (CEBP alpha–zeta) have been characterized. CEBPD functions as a leucine zipper DNA-binding protein regulating gene expression in tissues such as liver, adipose, lung, and intestine. It acts as a transcriptional activator in immune and inflammatory gene regulation and exhibits tumor suppressor-like properties.
