Target Information
This gene encodes a nuclear protein involved in cell-cycle regulation. The encoded protein functions as a ubiquitin-ligase capable of ubiquinating PCNP (PEST-containing nuclear protein), potentially contributing to tumorigenesis. It contains NIRF_N, PHD finger, SRA, and RING finger domains, which are essential for the regulation of cell proliferation. The protein may also play a role in intranuclear degradation of polyglutamine aggregates. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, some of which are non-protein coding.
