This antibody detects endogenous levels of Tri-Methyl-Histone H3 only when methylated at Lys79.
Target Information
Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein present in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histones, it forms nucleosomes and plays a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability. Post-translational modifications of histone H3, such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
