Target Information
RB-like 1은 retinoblastoma 1 (RB1) 유전자의 산물과 유사한 서열 및 기능을 가지는 단백질입니다. RB1 단백질은 세포주기 조절에 관여하는 종양 억제 단백질로, S기에서 M기로의 전이 동안 인산화되고 G1기에서 탈인산화됩니다.
RB1과 RB-like 1 모두 adenovirus E1A 단백질 및 SV40 large T-antigen과 복합체를 형성할 수 있으며, SV40 large T-antigen은 비인산화 형태의 단백질에만 결합합니다. 또한 두 단백질 모두 E2F 결합 부위를 포함한 세포주기 유전자 전사를 억제할 수 있습니다.
이러한 서열 및 생화학적 유사성으로 인해 RB-like 1 또한 종양 억제 단백질로 작용할 가능성이 있습니다.
