OPRD1 (Opioid Receptor Delta 1)는 불안, 우울, 통증 조절에 관여하는 단백질로, 기분 장애 및 약물 중독 치료의 잠재적 타깃입니다.
Delta 및 kappa opioid receptor는 이합체를 형성하여 시너지 작용을 합니다.
OPRD1은 주로 뇌에서 발현되며, cortex, caudate, hippocampus, nucleus accumbens, putamen에서 높은 발현이 보고되었습니다.
cerebellum, hypothalamus, substantia nigra, thalamus에서는 낮은 발현이 관찰됩니다.
OPRD1 발현은 Alzheimer’s 및 Parkinson’s 환자의 특정 뇌 부위에서 감소된 것으로 보고되었습니다.
