Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues, heat sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CD31 (platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1, PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor involved in regulation of T and B cell signaling through dual immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs). Upon phosphorylation, these motifs recruit protein-tyrosine phosphatases, modulating immune responses.
CD31 is widely expressed in the vascular system, primarily at intercellular junctions, and mediates homophilic binding critical for cell-cell interactions.
It plays diverse roles in:
