Target Information
BAP31 (B-Cell Receptor Associated Protein, 31-kDa)는 소포체의 다중 막 관통 단백질로, BAP29와 함께 호모 및 헤테로 올리고머를 형성하며, BCL-2/BCL-XL 관련 단백질로서 세포사멸 조절에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.
BAP31의 C-말단 도메인에는 programmed death cascade의 개시 카스파제(caspases) 1 및 8의 인식 부위가 존재합니다.
이 단백질은 선택된 단백질을 골지체로 운반하는 데 관여하며, CFTR 발현 조절에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
BAP31의 기능 이상은 낭포성 섬유증(cystic fibrosis)에서 염소 이온 채널 결함을 우회할 수 있는 잠재적 기전으로 연구되고 있습니다.
