Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
FOXO4 (Forkhead box O4) is encoded by the FOXO4 gene located on the X chromosome. Also known as AFX1 or MLLT7, it belongs to the O class of forkhead/winged helix transcription factors along with FOXO1, FOXO3, and FOXO6.
FOXO4 is highly expressed in skeletal muscle and adipose tissue. It binds to the Insulin Responsive Element (IRE) and activates downstream targets of the Insulin/IGF1 signaling pathway, such as IGFBP1.
Phosphorylation of FOXO4 by Akt promotes binding to 14-3-3 proteins, resulting in nuclear export of FOXO4.
