Target Information
The GNAI2 gene encodes an alpha subunit of guanine nucleotide binding proteins (G proteins).
This protein contains the guanine nucleotide binding site and plays a role in hormonal regulation of adenylate cyclase.
Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been detected, with two full-length isoforms characterized to date.
