Product Specific Information

The A7R34 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD127, the high-affinity alpha subunit of the mouse IL-7 receptor.
IL-7 receptor alpha chain is expressed by immature B cells in bone marrow, double-negative (CD4-CD8-), single-positive (CD4+ and CD8+) thymocytes, but not double-positive (CD4+CD8+) thymocytes. In peripheral tissues, mature T cells express CD127 at low levels.

A7R34 inhibits IL-7 binding to its receptor and is used in in vivo and in vitro studies to elucidate IL-7’s role in T and B cell development and activation.
Binding of A7R34 blocks SB/199 antibody binding, which also recognizes mouse CD127.

Target Information

CD127 (Interleukin-7 receptor, IL-7R) is a glycoprotein regulating lymphopoiesis.
The active receptor is an alpha/gamma chain heterodimer.

• The gamma(c) chain also associates with the IL-2 receptor and activates signal transduction.
• The alpha chain determines specific signaling events via cytoplasmic molecules.

CD127 promotes proliferation of precursor B cells, thymocytes, T cell progenitors, and mature CD4+ and CD8+ T cells.
Dysfunction of CD127 is associated with severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and T-cell negative/B-cell negative/NK-positive SCID.
