Target Information
The proto-oncogene PIM1 is upregulated in prostate cancer. PIM1, a member of the Serine/Threonine protein kinase family, is involved in signal transduction in blood cells. It may influence chromatin structure or silencing by phosphorylating HP1 gamma/CBX3. PIM1 is primarily expressed in hematopoietic and germ line cells.
