Target Information
Probable molecular chaperone assisting in protein folding upon ATP hydrolysis. As part of the BBS/CCT complex, it may play a role in the assembly of the BBSome, which is involved in ciliogenesis and vesicle transport to cilia. It may also participate in protein processing relevant to limb, cardiac, and reproductive system development, and in cytokinesis.
