Target Information
HNRPA0 belongs to the A/B subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). These proteins are RNA-binding molecules that associate with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA) and are involved in pre-mRNA processing, mRNA metabolism, and transport. While most hnRNPs are localized in the nucleus, some shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm. The encoded protein contains two quasi-RRM domains that bind RNA and a glycine-rich C-terminus.
