UBXN1은 선천면역 반응 조절에 관여하는 유비퀴틴 결합 단백질입니다. RIG-I-like receptor (RLR) 및 NF-κB 경로를 억제하며, 바이러스 감염 후 MAVS에 결합하여 MAVS/TRAF3/TRAF6 복합체 형성을 방해합니다. 또한 TNFα 유도 NF-κB 경로를 억제하고, BRCA1-BARD1 복합체의 활성을 조절합니다. Lys-6 연결 폴리유비퀴틴 사슬에 특이적으로 결합하며, 잘못 접힌 단백질의 탈당 및 프로테아좀 매개 분해 과정에 관여합니다.
