Target Information
STAG2 is a component of the cohesin complex, essential for sister chromatid cohesion after DNA replication.
The cohesin complex forms a ring structure that traps sister chromatids. During anaphase, the complex is cleaved to allow chromatid segregation.
It may also play a role in spindle pole assembly during mitosis.
