Target Information
CYP27A1는 콜레스테롤을 담즙산으로 분해하는 과정에서 작용하며, 산성 경로와 고전적 경로 모두에 관여합니다. 산성 경로에서는 콜레스테롤의 27번 탄소에 하이드록실기를 도입해 27-hydroxycholesterol을 생성하고, 고전적 경로에서는 3β-hydroxy-5-cholestenoic acid를 생성합니다. 또한 비타민 D3의 대사에도 관여합니다. 다양한 조직에서 발현되며, 대식세포에서는 27-hydroxycholesterol을 생성하여 심혈관 질환 관련 염증 인자 생성을 억제하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있습니다.
