Target Information
The CTNNBL1 protein is a component of the pre-mRNA-processing factor 19-cell division cycle 5-like (PRP19-CDC5L) complex, which activates pre-mRNA splicing and is an integral part of the spliceosome. It also functions as a nuclear localization sequence binding protein and interacts with activation-induced deaminase, playing a role in antibody diversification. CTNNBL1 may be associated with obesity development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, and a pseudogene is defined on the X chromosome. Diseases associated with CTNNBL1 include Immunodeficiency 99 with Hypogammaglobulinemia and Autoimmune Cytopenias.
