Product Specific Information
This antibody is cross-adsorbed and exhibits minimal reactivity to chicken, horse, human, mouse, pig, and rat.
For Western blot applications, 5% non-fat dry milk in PBST or TBST is recommended for blocking and antibody incubation. BSA is not recommended.
Target Information
Anti-Goat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for goat immunoglobulins.
They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target proteins and offer increased versatility by enabling multiple detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence).
They provide greater sensitivity through signal amplification since multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
Typically, secondary antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and can be further purified and modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to ensure high specificity.
