This polyclonal antibody reacts specifically with the human Rab11A protein.
Cross-reactivity with other Rab family members has not been detected.

Target Information
Rab11A is a member of the YPT-1 subfamily of Ras-related GTP-binding proteins. Rab11A mRNA is expressed in various tissues including brain, testis, spleen, heart, and gastrointestinal mucosa. In the gastric fundus, Rab11A protein is localized in parietal cell tubulovesicle membranes and discrete epithelial cell populations where it associates with apical vesicular populations.
Rab11A plays key roles in:
- Resecretion of alpha-synuclein via endosome recycling
- Exocytosis of discoidal/fusiform vesicles in bladder umbrella cells
- Biogenesis of Birbeck granules
- Endosomal activation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway via G beta gamma trafficking
