Target Information
FPR1 (Formyl Peptide Receptor 1) is a chemoattractant/chemokine GPCR mainly expressed on leukocytes, neutrophils, and monocytes.
It is a seven-transmembrane, pertussis toxin-sensitive receptor that binds formylated peptides generated by bacteria, mediating leukocyte trafficking to inflammation sites.
Ligand binding activates multiple effectors including phospholipase C, leading to calcium mobilization and PKC activation.
FPR signaling also promotes actin cytoskeleton polarization, integrin activation, cell migration, phagocytosis, degranulation, and reactive oxygen species release.
