Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of MAP4 only when phosphorylated at Ser696.
Target Information
The MAP4 gene encodes a major non-neuronal microtubule-associated protein. It contains a domain similar to those of MAP2 and tau (MAPT), promoting microtubule assembly and stabilizing interphase microtubules. Cyclin B interacts with MAP4 to target CDC2 kinase to microtubules. Phosphorylation of MAP4 affects microtubule properties and cell cycle progression. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
