This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select the best clones for production.

Target Information

Neuregulin 1 (NRG1) is a 44-kDa glycoprotein that interacts with the NEU/ERBB2 receptor tyrosine kinase, increasing its phosphorylation on tyrosine residues.
Multiple isoforms of NRG1 are generated by alternative splicing, including heregulins (HRGs), glial growth factors (GGFs), and sensory and motor neuron-derived factor (SMDF). These isoforms are tissue-specific and differ structurally.

  • HRG isoforms: contain Ig and EGF-like domains
  • GGF/GGF2 isoforms: contain kringle-like, Ig, and EGF-like domains
  • SMDF isoform: contains only the EGF-like domain

All NRG1 isoforms bind to ERBB family receptors, inducing growth and differentiation in epithelial, neuronal, glial, and other cell types.
