Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Guanylate kinase (GK) catalyzes the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of GMP into GDP, essential for recycling GMP and indirectly cGMP.
GK is a highly conserved monomeric protein (~200 amino acids) found across prokaryotes, eukaryotes, and vertebrates.
It shares structural similarity with Vaccinia virus protein A57R and is part of the MAGUK family (membrane-associated guanylate kinase homologs), which includes proteins such as DLG1, Zo-1, SAP90/PSD-95, SAP97, and CASK.
GK contains an ATP-binding site (P-loop) in its N-terminal region, though this site is not conserved in GK-like domains of MAGUK proteins.
