This antibody is tested in Peptide ELISA with an antibody detection limit dilution of 1:4,000.
Target Information
S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyltransferase that specifically dimethylates mitochondrial 12S rRNA at the conserved stem loop.
Also required for basal transcription of mitochondrial DNA, likely via interaction with POLRMT and TFAM.
Stimulates transcription independently of methyltransferase activity. Compared to TFB1M, it activates mitochondrial DNA transcription more efficiently but has lower methyltransferase activity.
