Target Information
TFIID는 TATA 프로모터 요소와의 직접적인 상호작용을 통해 전사 전 개시 복합체(preinitiation complex) 형성을 시작하는 일반 전사 인자입니다. 이 복합체는 TATA-binding 단백질(TBP)과 여러 TAF(TBP-associated factors)로 구성됩니다.
TAF II p100 (TAF5 또는 TAFII100으로도 알려짐)은 인간 TFIID의 세 번째로 큰 서브유닛으로, C-말단에 여섯 개의 WD40 반복 서열을 포함하고 N-말단은 유연한 이합체를 형성할 수 있습니다.
TAF II p100은 TFIID 복합체 조립에 필수적인 스캐폴드 형성에 중요한 역할을 하며, TAF 간 상호작용 안정화에도 관여할 수 있습니다.
