Target Information
Rab8B (Ras-related protein Rab-8B) belongs to the Rab family and small GTPase superfamily, consisting of 207 amino acids with a lipid anchor localized to the cytoplasmic membrane. Rab proteins play key roles in vesicular transport, endocytosis, and biosynthetic protein trafficking. Rab8B may be involved in neurotransmitter release and vesicular trafficking. The gene encoding Rab8B is located on human chromosome Rab8B and mouse chromosome 9C.
