Target Information
Nucleoporin Nup35 (Mitotic phosphoprotein 44) is a nuclear protein localized to the nuclear pore complex (NPC), associated with the nuclear membrane and lamina. It belongs to the Nup53 family and contains an MPPN (mitotic phosphoprotein N-terminal) domain. NUP35 may function as a structural component of the NPC and as a docking partner for nuclear transport factors. It is also implicated in the association of MAD1, a transcriptional repressor, with the NPC. NUP35 is widely expressed across various tissues.
