Product Specific Information

This antibody was produced in vitro using hybridomas grown in serum-free medium and purified by biochemical fractionation. Near homogeneity was confirmed by SDS-PAGE.

The epitope recognized by the anti-ATP synthase beta 3D5AB1 antibody is located in the region containing the active site of the beta-subunit, centered approximately at amino acid residue 83. The complete amino acid sequence of the epitope is not known.

Target Information

ATP synthase is a highly conserved transmembrane enzyme found in plants, fungi, bacteria, and animals. It catalyzes the reversible conversion of ADP and phosphate to ATP, driven by proton flux across the membrane during electron transport.

The enzyme consists of two major regions:

  • F1 ATP-ase (soluble): composed of α, β, γ, δ, and ε subunits
  • F0 ATP-ase (membrane embedded): composed of a, b, and c subunits
